There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you for visiting with us today.

We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up  to 2½ years old;
or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of the
auditorium next to the Foyer.

We have Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the  Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service, the children’s teachers will bring the children back to you for the closing songs.

The Ladies’ Bible Class that usually meets at 10 am on Thursdays will meet at 11 am this Thursday at the Fortson’s home to share Christmas stories. They will then, at noon, host a Christmas Luncheon for all of our working women in the congregation. If you can take a few minutes off from your job, please come and enjoy some fellowship and good food with other ladies from our congregation.    The Fortsons address is 3601 Las Cienega.

The Elders have decided that this year, for our Holiday Food Drive, we will collect items to be given to the Arms of Hope Children’s Homes (Boles Home and Medina Children’s Home) and also concentrate on adding to our own Food Pantry so that we can continue to help people who come to the church in need. The items Arms of Hope would like for us to collect through the end of the year are: Shampoo and Conditioner and Pop Tarts. For our own Food Pantry, anything non-perishable is fine. Of course, you may always make a donation separate from your Sunday contribution to be given to Arms of Hope for their food drive or for our food pantry.

Please put your items in the brown paper bags that are in the Cry Room and then put them on the stage behind the praise area under the baptistry.  Having the items at the front of the church serves as a reminder to thank God always for our blessings and also to remind us to share with others what he has given us!

 Emily Payne would love to have any of your “Box Tops for Education” labels that are found on many cereal boxes as well as numerous other products. She is collecting them for her school. Just cut them out place them in the bins on the back table or outside the Fellowship Room door.

 A LOOK AHEADOur annual Christmas Dinner and Talent/Variety Show are scheduled for the evening of Sunday, December 13 at 5 pm. Please begin thinking about what you’d like to do, if anything, for the show. Don’t be bashful! For our Christmas dinner the meat will be provided, so all you need to bring is two side dishes to go along with the ham. Zoe Rascoe is in charge of the Variety Show, so please see Zoe if you want to participate.

A holiday-season calendar of events has been posted on the bulletin board. Please inform Cathy of any corrections that need to be made.

There are several “Lost and Found” items on the back table. Please check to see if any of them are yours, and if so, please take them home.

 Please remember to let the elders or Michael know of your thoughts about our youth ministry applicants.

 Our elder chairman for the month of December is Bill Kneip. Please get in touch with Bill if you have any questions or would like to meet with the elders. His e-mail address is: wkneip@hot.rr.com.

 Let’s remember those who have lost loved ones this year. It is never easy to lose someone close to us, but it’s especially hard during holiday times; so let’s try to be very sensitive to those we know who have experienced that kind of loss either recently or even previously at this time of year.
