There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you
for visiting with us today.

We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up  to 2½ years old;
or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of the auditorium next to the Foyer.

We have Children’s Churchfor children ages 2½ through 5 years in the Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service, the children’s teachers will bring the children back to you for the closing songs.

Thanks to everyone who came to give Jason and Paula a big TEXAS SEND-OFF last night at the Matthews. It was an enjoyable time of celebration and “well-wishing.” We need to keep them in our prayers as Jason prepares to leave for basic training on December 6.

If you haven’t received your update pages for your picture directory (pictures of Janice Crowell and the Weems family), please pick them up from the back table.

This next Sunday, immediately after our morning service, we will have an interview time with another of our candidates for our part-time youth minister position, Justin Ruiz and his fiancé, Maegan. We are inviting everyone to come, but especially parents of our children and teens. Zoe will let us know what we need to bring, if anything, for the meal.

In a discussion with the Elders Wednesday night, it was decided that this year, for our Thanksgiving Food Drive, we will collect items to be given to the Arms of Hope children’s homes (Boles Home and Medina Children’s Home) and also concentrate on adding to our own Food Pantry so that we can continue to help people who come to the church in need. The items Arms of Hope would like for us to collect through the end of the year are: Pop Tarts and Shampoo and Conditioner. For our own Food Pantry, anything non-perishable is fine. We are a little low on canned meats, so that would be a good starting point for our pantry. Of course, you can always make a donation to be given to Arms of Hope for their food drive or for our own food pantry. Whichever you prefer is fine; just give the donation separately from your Sunday Contribution, and for Arms of Hope, you can actually make out your check to them if you prefer, and we’ll send it on to them.

Emily Payne would love to have any of your “Box Tops for Education” labels that are found on many cereal boxes as well as numerous other products. She is collecting them for her school. Just cut them out place them in the bins on the back table or outside the Fellowship Room door.

Our elder chairman for the month of November is Terry Rascoe. Please get in touch with Terry if you have any questions or would like to meet with the elders. His e-mail address is: tgrascoe@hot.rr.com.
