There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you
for visiting with us today.

We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up to 2½ years old;
or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of the
auditorium next to the Foyer.

We have Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service, the children’s teachers will bring the children back to you for the closing songs.

Today we will have our annual Corporate Meeting required by the state of Texas. It will take just about five minutes at the end of our service. Bill Vaughan will be conducting the meeting.

We appreciate so much how all of you pitched in and brought supplies for the Arms of Hope Children’s Homes. The huge “pick-up” truck came last week and got all of the shampoo, conditioner and pop-tarts we had collected for them. We had a phone call from them on Friday expressing their gratitude for helping them.

We also appreciate your bringing all the items for our own Food Pantry. We now have quite a bit on hand to be able to help those in need. Thank you, again, so much. This church has always been so generous when a need arises.

Remember to bring your Box Tops for Education labels and put them in the little bins that are on the back table and the table outside the Fellowship Room.

Our Ladies’ Bible Class will begin for the New Year next Thursday morning at 10:00 am. Be sure to come and enjoy the Beth Moore study of Daniel with Dorris leading the discussion.   The class will finish this study in about three weeks and then will begin the Philip Yancey book on prayer.

Two weeks from today, January 24, our new youth minister, Addison Weaver, has scheduled a meeting in our Fellowship Room immediately after our morning worship service for the youth, parents and any others who are interested in our youth program. He will be presenting an overview of his plans for our youth and will also entertain any questions from us regarding those plans. More details will follow.

Opportunity for Ministry: We have a need here within our congregation to assist with occasionally providing rides to those needing transportation to church. If there are any of our members who would be willing to volunteer, please inform one of the elders of your interest. Hopefully, we will have several who volunteer, and then the ministry could be arranged on a rotating basis, similar to our communion preparation rotation, etc.

Cathy now has the new calendars for Nursery and Children’s Church available for pick-up as well as the new year-long Communion Preparation Calendar for 2010. Please see Cathy to get yours if she hasn’t found you first!
