There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you
for visiting with us today.

We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up to 2½ years old;
or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of the auditorium next to the Foyer.

 We have Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in th Children’s
Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s
time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service,
the children’s teachers will bring the children back to you for the closing songs.

Some of you will remember Ruth Cooper (Maynor and Ruth Cooper) who were members here before they moved to North Texas. We received word that Ruth, who had been in a nursing home for a period of time, passed away last Tuesday.   If anyone would like to send Maynor a card, his address is: 408 Dena Lane, Aubrey, TX   76227.

Thanks to all of you who contributed to Jim Huddleston’s medical mission trip planned for spring break. Our contribution for that effort last Sunday was $1,047.00! We will leave the contribution open for a couple of weeks so that anyone who was not ready or not here to contribute last Sunday can still do so. Just give your check or cash to Cathy or one of the elders.

Our first MOPS meeting of the year went very well last Monday morning. Dorris was our speaker and Jamie had some wonderful desserts and recipes for the ladies to taste and take home.

The Youth Group will be meeting at the Greene's home for the Super Bowl tonight at 5:00pm. If anyone needs a ride, talk to Addison. Be sure to bring your friends!

Don’t forget the Super Bowl party at the Fortson’s home tonight at 4:30.  Their Life Group is furnishing hot dogs and chili for everyone, so bring your favorite “football-watching” snacks/drinks and come enjoy the party. Childcare will be at the building that evening beginning about 5 pm.

Note for those of you using the childcare Sunday evening: please bring a sack supper for your kids and also, if possible, have them wear something blue. We’re starting a new series of lessons, so this request has nothing to do with the Super Bowl!

Next Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm Dorris Fortson and Mary Nelson are beginning a Weight Loss and Management program here at the building in the Fellowship Room. They are calling it “Slim for HIM”, and it’s patterned after some of the ideas of Weight Watchers. If you’re at all interested, come next Wednesday afternoon and check it out. They plan to be through by about 5 pm so that you can be ready for our Fellowship Meal together! Dorris or Mary can give you more information.

Next Saturday evening, February 13, at 6:00 pm we will have our annual Valentine Dinner here at the building. Audell Shelburne, our great “head chef”, is planning the menu, so be sure to come and enjoy the meal and fellowship!! One “requirement” is that the other men of the church come to help during that day to cook or decorate, etc. or help clean up when it’s over!  It’s always a fun night, and it’s not restricted to “couples.” All of our members are welcome to come. There is a charge of $10 per person to help cover the cost of the food. Please sign the sheet on the back table so we can make our plans. Usually individual families make their own arrangements for babysitting for that evening.

Opportunity for Ministry: We have a need here within our congregation to assist with occasionally providing rides to those needing transportation to church. If there are any of our members who would be willing to volunteer, please inform one of the elders of your interest in helping with this ministry.

It’s been two years since we first started taking pictures for our Picture Directory, so if you would like to have a new picture taken, please talk to Cathy or Zoe. Zoe has her camera today if anyone is ready! If you want your picture re-taken, please make arrangements to have that done no later than February 21.

Remember to bring your Box Tops for Education labels and put them in the little bins that are on the back table and the table outside the Fellowship Room.
