1 Nov 2009

There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you
for visiting with us today.

We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up   to 2½ years old;
or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of the
auditorium next to the Foyer.

We have Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the  Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service, the children’s teachers will bring the children back to you for the closing songs.

We are so pleased to announce that Janice Crowell placed her membership with us last Sunday.
Her address is 3401 Camellia Drive, #1215, Temple, 76502, and her phone number is 254-742-0611,
and her birthday is September 27; so now, you have all the information you need to update your
directory at home! Zoe will take a picture of her as soon as possible, and we’ll print a sheet for your Picture Directory.

We are happy to announce that James Hudgins is a grandfather again! Jennifer and Jonathan
had their third baby boy last Tuesday morning. Elijah Leonidas weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. and was 20 inches
long, and, according to Tracy Moore, has lots of hair. We are so happy for them and pray God’s blessings
on them and their family.

Our next MOPS meeting will be TOMORROW at 9:30 am. Be sure to invite any of your friends who are
mothers of preschoolers to come. They may call Dorris or Theresa for more information.

TEXAS SEND-OFF SHOWER: On Saturday, November 14 at 6 pm there will be a “Texas Send-Off” Shower
for Jason and Paula Hicks at the Matthews home, 3005 Stratford Drive in Temple.    Jason will be leaving for
basic training on December 6, and then sometime after the first of the year, they will be moving to California for his
further training in the Air Force. We want finally to help them get started on their “housekeeping” by giving them a
shower, but also a big Texas Send-off since they will be moving away from us for a while. Please plan to come and
join us for this time of celebration and “well-wishing”. They are registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond.

Request: Please remember to check your house and car for John for Everyone, Part 2, the commentary
by N. T. Wright that Bill and Michael use in preparation for their sermons on John. It still has not shown up,
and we’d just like to know who has it so we can “borrow it back” when one of the speakers needs it.

A LOOK AHEAD: The holiday season is approaching, and Zoe Rascoe, our Fellowship ministry leader is
busy planning! She has scheduled our annual Christmas Dinner and Talent/Variety Show for the evening
of Sunday, December 13. Please begin thinking about what you’d like to do; those of you who have been
here know we have had poetry reading, singing, instrument playing, kid singing groups and even “older”
singing groups! Be thinking about your talents and practicing so you’ll be ready by December 13th.

We also have a tentative holiday-season “calendar” of events, meals, Life Group news, etc., that is posted
on the bulletin board. This has been prepared for you to check to see what’s coming up – and if we need
to change any of the information (for instance, whether your small group will meet on a certain day through
the holiday times). Please inform Cathy of any changes that need to be made to the calendar so the bulletin
information will be correct as the time draws near.
