There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you
for visiting with us today.
We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up to 2½ years old;
or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of the
auditorium next to the Foyer.
We have Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in th Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service, the children’s teachers will bring the children back to you for the closing songs.

The Fortson’s group will meet – 5 pm – Fortson’s home
The Rascoe’s/Garmon’s group will meet – 5 pm – Fellowship Room
We had a great singing last Wednesday night during our devotional time. Be sure to come
the next time we schedule one. It was great!
The Fortsons reported having a very good time at Summit, the ACU Lectureship, as
most of us know it. They ordered several CD’s or DVD’s, and I’m sure they will be telling
us about it and sharing some of those talks with us.
Beginning with next Sunday, our Communion Service will be planned by our Life Groups,
each group rotating through the month to oversee that service. This idea was mentioned
by Kevin during our “Elder Chat” we had on September 2.
The Communion Service schedule is as follows:
October 4 Fortson Life Group
October 11 Garmon/Rascoe Life Group
October 18 Kneip Life Group
October 25 Huddleston Life Group
October Communion – Bake Bread – Payne
Tray Preparation – Garmon
Please remember to bring your food contributions for our Food Pantry and put them in the white

to Cathy. Her church e-mail address is cccc@vvm.com. She normally needs these by Tuesday about noon for her
e-mail announcements. For the Sunday, October 4 bulletin, she will need them by Wednesday so she can
prepare that bulletin on Wednesday night. She will be leaving early Thursday morning for the wedding!
