There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you
for visiting with us today.

We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up   to 2½ years old;
or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of the
auditorium next to the Foyer.

We have Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service, the children’s teachers will bring  the children back to you for the closing songs.

We are so pleased to announce that a friend of Luc Litalien, Lee Ann Bennight, was baptized
last Sunday morning. She has been studying with Luc and came to church ready to be baptized!
What a wonderful occasion and cause for celebrating. Let’s remember to greet her and welcome
her into our fellowship whenever we see her. Her current address is 1701 Avalon, Temple, 76502.

We are saddened to announce that Harold Harris, a former member here, passed away last
Thursday morning. He had suffered from Parkinson’s Disease for several years but most recently
had a massive stroke. Some of our members here had participated in taking him Communion each
week for a couple of years before he and his wife, Tina, moved to Dallas to be nearer family.
The visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 pm at Crawford-Bowers Funeral Home, and then the funeral
service will be Monday morning at 10 am at Crawford-Bowers. James Hudgins will be helping with the service.

Our first MOPS meeting of this year was a great success! We had 12 mothers and 12 children! We are so glad
that the meeting was so well attended. Theresa did a great job, as did Jamie with her craft, and Michael,
Dorris, Richard and Myrna Ortiz with the child care! Our next meeting will be November 2 at 9:30 am, so be sure
to tell any of your friends who are mothers of preschoolers to plan to come. They can call Dorris or Theresa for
more information.

Request: If anyone has borrowed John for Everyone, Part 2, a commentary by N. T. Wright, please let Cathy, Bill or
Michael know. This is one of the books Bill and Michael use in preparation for their sermons on John, and it couldn’t
be found this week. It might have been sitting on the Conference Room table.   We’d just like to know who has it.

NOTE:If you have Praise, Illness, Travel, Bereavement, or “Other” prayer requests, please e-mail them to
Cathy. Her church e-mail address is cccc@vvm.com.   She normally needs these by Tuesday about noon for her
e-mail and Wednesday announcements and by Friday noon for the Sunday bulletin announcements.

Encourage One Another in Love
Note cards are available on the buffet in the foyer for anyone wanting to send a word of encouragement. You
may mail them yourself or place them in the box provided, and the church will address and mail them for you.
