There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we are glad you visited with us today.
We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up to 2½ years
old; or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of
the auditorium next to the Foyer.
We have a Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the Education Building across the breezeway. There will be a slide flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to leave for that program, and then a slide will be flashed when their teachers will be bringing them back to sit with you for the closing songs.

The Kneip’s group will meet – 5 pm – Kneip’s home
The Fortson’s group will not meet – Fortsons will be in Abilene
The Rascoe’s/Garmon’s group will meet – 5 pm – Fellowship Room
Our Divorce Care and Divorce Care for Kids (DC4K) programs met again last Tuesday night,
and again, there were no kids in attendance for the DC4K program. Because of that, this
program will be suspended for a while. James Hudgins’ “advanced class” also met last Tuesday.
Be sure to tell anyone you know who might be in need of this program to come on Tuesday or call
Michael for more information.
Our Ladies’ Bible Class for the fall began last Thursday and had a good beginning. The focus
will be the Beth Moore study on Daniel; the workbooks are at LifeWay and the cost is $14.95.
Even though the class has started, you can still come and join the study. Please try to get
your workbook before coming to class, and if the cost of the book is a little “steep”, see Dorris
about a scholarship. We want you to come!
The Fortsons will be in Abilene from this afternoon through Wednesday night for Lectureship
(Summit), so their Life Group will not meet this afternoon. They do plan to return early enough
on Thursday morning so Dorris can teach her Ladies’ Bible Class!
Since Michael and Dorris will be gone to Abilene next Wednesday night, we’re hoping to have a
“singing” Wednesday night along with Family Sharing in our devotional time. Please come and
enjoy singing some of our favorite songs!
Teen News: Today, Terry Rascoe and Shelby Garmon began teaching the high school class,
studying the book, The Prodigal God. Kevin Huddleston is now meeting with the youth
group on Wednesday nights for their “Life Group” and devotional time.
We encourage any members whose children participate in Children’s Church or the Attended
Nursery program to take a turn at participating in those ministries. If we have enough helpers,
no one would have to help more than about once every two months.
Answers to Prayers: Thank you so much, Connie Matthews, for volunteering to help Dianne
Massey on her cooking night! Laura Young has volunteered to take Dianne Massey’s
K-2nd grade class on Sunday mornings! Thank you, Laura!!
Please remember to bring your food contributions for our Food Pantry and put them in the white
bin just outside the old cry room. See Kerri Hensley for more information.
