There are Visitor Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you for visiting with us today.
We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up to 2½ years
old; or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of
the auditorium next to the Foyer.
We have Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service, the children’s teachers will bring the children back to you for the closing songs.

We are so pleased to announce that Matt and Kelly Erdman placed membership with us on August 2.
They are the parents of the beautiful Camille Erdman who just turned one on July 11. Their address is

We have resumed our Wednesday night meal and devotional here at our building.
It will begin at 5:45 with the devotional following. At the end of the summer, we will reissue our meal
preparation calendar.
Our elder chairman for the month of August is Terry Rascoe. If you have any questions or would
like to meet with the elders, please get in touch with Terry, and he will put you on the agenda for their meetings.
Please remember to bring your food contributions for our Food Pantry here at our building!

“ELDER CHAT” - Beginning Wednesday, September 2, the elders will hold an “open forum” during our
devotional time after our Fellowship Meal where they will entertain questions or suggestions from you.
This is going to be a regularly scheduled meeting, probably occurring about once a month on a Wednesday
night. Please feel free to come and participate. The elders want you to know that they are open to your questions
and suggestions and are happy to entertain them in this discussion format. If, of course, your question or
suggestion is on a more personal note, they are always free to talk with you during their Wednesday night
elders’ meeting after church or at any time that it can be scheduled. They are also available after church on
Sunday mornings in the Conference Room.
Sunday School Announcements: This fall our new classes will begin on September 6, so you students
who should be moving into a new class will just need to wait a couple of weeks after school starts to move
to your new class at church! All of the children’s class age-groups will remain as they have been, but we
are still working on getting our teachers arranged, so more information will be forthcoming about that.
Since we’re speaking to education matters, if anyone would be interested in helping us in our education
program for our kids, please let Cathy Kneip or Debra Hicks know. We are always interested in finding new
people who have an interest in the spiritual education of our children. You might like to take a turn at
teaching a class, being a helper or a substitute, or being on the rotation for Children’s Church. Please
let us know if any of these are ways you would like to serve.
We actually encourage any member whose children participate in Children’s Church or the Attended Nursery
program to take a turn at participating in those ministries. If we have enough helpers, no one would have
to help more than about once every two months.
NOTE: Anytime you have Praise, Illness, Travel, Bereavement, or “Other” prayer requests, please e-mail them to
either address. She normally would need these by Tuesday about noon for her e-mail announcements, and by
Saturday morning for Sunday’s bulletin.
