Welcome to Our Guests
We extend a warm welcome to our guests today at Canyon Creek. We are honored by your presence, and it is our hope that you will be blessed this morning.

There are Visitor’s Cards located in the card holders on the backs of the pews. Please fill one out for us and place it in the collection plate when it is passed. Again, we thank you for visiting with us today.
We have an Attended Nursery in the Education Building for babies up to 2½ years old; or, if you’d like to stay with your child, an Unattended Nursery at the back of the auditorium next to the Foyer.
We have Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program. Toward the end of our service, the children’s teachers will bring them back to you for the closing songs.

Please remember the Salado Church of Christ’s Summer Preaching Series on Wednesday nights. Some of
us are attending this preaching series and would love to have you join us next week! For the rest of July,
Dr. Jeff Peterson will be speaking on “Romans: Rediscovering the Gospel.” There is a children’s program for
children up through elementary school at the Salado church. We no longer have a babysitter available here at
our building. Remember, if you want to go with someone from church, you must be at Canyon Creek by
6 pm.
Also, next Wednesday night, Michael Fortson will be showing a John Ortberg video here at the building at
about 6:45. There will be a Fellowship Meal provided by Dorris Fortson and Mary Nelson for those of you who
have been missing that. The meal will begin at 5:45.
Bill and Cathy Kneip would like to invite anyone who is interested to join a new Life Group they will be hosting at
their home on Sunday nights at 5pm beginning next Sunday evening, July 26. No decision on the focus of
the activity or study has been made; that decision will be made by the group after it has begun. Please let
Cathy or Bill know if you would like to be a part of this new group.
Please remember to bring your food contributions for our Food Pantry here at our building! There is a white bin
just outside the old cry room in which to put your items for the pantry. See Kerri Hensley for more information.
Our elder chairman for the month of July is Kevin Huddleston. If you have any questions or would like to
meet with the elders, please get in touch with Kevin, and if necessary, he can put you on the agenda for their
meetings. At the present time, because of the Salado Preaching Series, they are not meeting on Wednesday

Our week at Camp of the Hills has come and gone!
We want to thank everyone who helped us prepare for last week! Please believe us when we say we
could not have done it without your help – the meat-cooking; cookie-baking; contributions of soup, cereal,
supplies; money to help with the food we had to buy; and, last but not least, the volunteers who came
to help with the cooking. Every last gesture on your part was so appreciated.
Debra and I want to commend our youth and Jonathan and Jennifer for the great job they did with ALL
of their different duties. All of us can be very proud of our youth group; they did an unbelievable job
helping in every way possible, and they never grumbled or complained – at least not where we could hear
them! We have a very big right to brag on our teens! Those who came and spent the week were: Jim and
Levi Huddleston, Amy Greene, Taylor Banfield (Amy’s friend), Kirk Wold (Jacob’s friend), and Nate Hay. The
rest of our youth were able to come for part of the week: Jacob Hensley (5 days), Meghan Braeuer (4 days),
Gloria Matthews (3 days), and Molly Farrell and Brynn Maxfield, friends of Amy and Gloria, (2 days). Callie
Massey joined Jonathan and Jennifer as a sponsor and was a great addition to the group. We just can‘t
thank you enough for being such great servants – showing God’s love to those campers. We love you!!

Remember: There will be no Wednesday night class for this group for the rest of July.
Next Saturday morning: Those going to Sabbath Camp need to meet at the building. See J or J for further
details. They will be returning the following Sunday. Please keep them in your prayers.

NOTE: We have just one more week to get our socks up here for the homeless kids in Colorado AND
to add our pocket change to the jar labeled “Change for Change” on the table in the Foyer. That money
will go to the ministry group that ministers to these kids. Thanks for all your help.
