Welcome to Our Guests
We extend a warm welcome to our guests today at Canyon Creek. We are honored by your presence, and it is our hope that you will be blessed this morning. We ask that you fill out a visitor’s card located in the card holders on the backs of the pews and place it in the collection plate. Again, thank you for worshipping with us today.
For our Visitors: We have an Attended Nursery located in the Education Building (across the breezeway) for babies up to 2½ years old; and, if you’d like to stay with your child, an unattended Nursery at the back of the auditorium next to the Foyer.
We h av Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program, and then they will be brought back over after the message and communion so they can participate in the closing songs.

We are pleased to announce that a group called “A National Association of Recovered Addicts and Alcoholics” will begin meeting in our Fellowship Room every Thursday evening from 7:30-8:30 pm. They currently meet at the First Christian Church on Tuesday evenings and wanted to have another place to meet on another day of the week. We are glad that we can offer our building to help in this ministry. Just remember, the Fellowship Room will be occupied on Thursday evenings from now on or until further notice.

A LOOK AHEAD:
Eastern European Missions complimentary dinner is thisThursday evening, April 2 from 7-9 pm at the Waco Hilton Hotel, 113 S. University Parks Drive. Please let Cathy know today if you would like to attend.
This coming Saturday evening, Michele Williams and Shawn Quinn will be married at our building. We are so happy for them! So…because of that happy occasion, the building will be in use Friday afternoon for the rehearsal and then on Saturday for decorating and the ceremony and reception. Congratulations Michele and Shawn!!
April 25th the Belton Christian Church is hosting a Ladies Retreat at Tanglewood camp outside Rockdale. Dorris is one of the workshop speakers. The registration cost is $32 if sent before April 4 and $37 if sent after the 4th. Please see Dorris if you would like to go.
Let’s begin thinking about who we can invite to come to church with us on Easter Sunday. Historically across the nation, Easter is one of the days that many people attend a church service who don’t attend on a regular basis.
If anyone is interested in ordering Easter lilies to decorate our building this year on Easter, please sign the sheet on the back table. We have done this for several years, and it really is a beautiful sight to have them in our building on this special day. The cost is $7 per plant, and you are welcome to then take yours home with you after church on that Sunday. We will need to know how many to order by Wednesday evening of this week.
Dorris is planning an Easter Egg Hunt for our children immediately after church on Easter Sunday. If anyone would like to donate wrapped candy for the eggs, please bring it no later than Wednesday, April 9, so we can stuff the eggs! No chocolate please!

Our hint this week for ways we can live for Jesus in 2009 is:
WHEN WE HAVE WORK TO DO, WE DO IT WITHOUT COMPLAINING.
This hint applies to us in all areas of our lives – at home, at work and in our church family.

For those of you who remember Leroy and Rose Marie Carver who were some of our early members here at Canyon Creek, there is a note from them to Doris Rechenthin and a couple of pictures that she has shared with us. They are on the bulletin board in the foyer.
