Welcome to Our Guests
We extend a warm welcome to our guests today at Canyon Creek. We are honored by your presence, and it is our hope that you will be blessed this morning. We ask that you fill out a visitor’s card located in the card holders on the backs of the pews and place it in the collection plate. Again, thank you for worshipping with us today.
For our Visitors: We have an Attended Nursery located in the Education Building (across the breezeway) for babies up to 2½ years old; and, if you’d like to stay with your child, an unattended Nursery at the back of the auditorium next to the Foyer.
We Children’s Church for children ages 2½ through 5 years in the Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. A slide will be flashed on the screen when it’s time for the children to be dismissed for that program, and then they will be brought back over after the message and communion so they can participate in the closing songs.

Congratulations to Shaun and Michele Quinn who were married last night here at Canyon Creek. It was a beautiful wedding, and we pray God’s richest blessings on them and their family and on Shaun as he heads back to Iraq and Kuwait for the last two months of his tour over there.

Kerri Hensley has talked to the elders about starting a Food Pantry here at our building. She will be overseeing this project, and we need to help by bringing canned goods and other non-perishable food items to begin “stocking” the shelves. There is a list on the back table of possible things to contribute, and there will be a white bin in the old cry room in which to put our contributions to the pantry.

A LOOK AHEAD:
Let’s remember to think about friends we can invite to come to church with us on Easter Sunday. Historically across the nation, Easter is one of the days that many people attend a church service who don’t attend on a regular basis. We need to remember to park at the back of the parking lot (in the grass if possible) so that our visitors will have places to park in the front and to sit closer to the front in the auditorium so that our visitors will be able to find seats as they come in.
Dorris is planning an Easter Egg Hunt for our children up to age 6 immediately after our church service on Easter Sunday. If anyone would like to donate wrapped candy for the eggs, please bring it no later than Wednesday, April 9, so we can stuff the eggs! No chocolate please!
Next Sunday, when you come to church, please have your children leave their baskets in the car until after church so that we’ll have plenty of room in the pews for everyone to sit and so that they won’t be a distraction to the kids during the service.
On April 25th the Belton Christian Church is hosting a Ladies Retreat at Tanglewood camp outside Rockdale where Dorris will be one of the workshop speakers. The registration cost is $37; please see Dorris if you would like to go.

Our hint this week for ways we can live for Jesus in 2009 is:
WE TAKE GOOD CARE OF EVERYTHING GOD HAS GIVEN US.
This hint applies to us in all areas of our lives – at home, at work and in our church family.
