Welcome to Our Guests
We extend a warm welcome to our guests today at Canyon Creek. We are honored by your presence, and it is our hope that you will be blessed this morning. We ask that you fill out a visitor’s card located in the card holders on the backs of the pews and place it in the collection plate. Again, we thank you for worshipping with us today.
For our Visitors: We have an Attended Nursery located in the Education Building (across the breezeway) for babies up to 2½ years old, and, if you’d like to stay with your child, an unattended Nursery at the back of the auditorium off the Foyer
We have Children’s Church for children 2½ through 5 years in the Children’s Church Room in the Education Building. Before Communion, your children will be dismissed for that program and then brought back over after the sermon so they can participate in the closing songs.
We welcome Trey Leech and Roy Nelson who both placed their membership with us last Sunday! They are both living at 904 South 27th, Temple, 76504. Trey’s phone number is 254-315-8029, and Roy’s is 254-265-0687. Trey has previously worshipped at Highland Church of Christ in Abilene, and his e-mail address is TreyizHot44@hotmail.com. Roy’s e-mail address is r.bnelson@yahoo.com.
This morning, we will be taking up a special contribution for Kyla Young and Jim Huddleston who are both going on spring break mission trips in March. Kyla will be going to Honduras and Jim to Boston. Please come prepared to give as much as you can to both these efforts. The website with more information about Kyla’s trip is: http://www.summitviewchurch.qwestoffice.net/Little%20Hands,%20Big%20Hearts.html
Tonight, Old Testament Challenge will resume at 5:30 in the Auditorium. Childcare will be provided for your younger children, but please remember to bring sack suppers for them.
Our Valentine Dinner is fast approaching! Please reserve next Saturday, February 14 at 6:30 pm for our Valentine Dinner. Audell Shelburne is heading it up this year, and he may be asking you for help!! There is a sign-up sheet on the back table, so please take a minute to put in your “reservation.” We will have childcare here at the building for your younger children. The cost will be $10 per person.
If you would be willing to prepare the trays for our Sunday morning Communion service, please let Cathy know. We still need someone for September and October.

Our hint this week for ways we can live for Jesus in 2009 is:
WE SPEAK QUIETLY AND RESPECTFULLY WITH ONE ANOTHER.
Let’s concentrate especially on this one this week!
It applies to all of us in all areas where we live, work and worship.
DRIVER NEEDED! The Vaughans are now bringing Brian Ward to church, but we still need an alternate person or couple who could fill in when the Vaughans are not here or can’t do it. Brian is willing to compensate you for your gas cost if necessary. He lives on North 2nd Street behind the Social Security office building. If you would be willing to do this as a service to him, please let Cathy or Michael know and/or get in touch with Brian.
